LOCANDA FILMS is an independent film production and distribution company based in Macau, China.

We work in all stages of the filmmaking process, from development through distribution, for both documentary and feature films.

Our goal is to unite with other independent film production companies, film financiers, and artists to help create powerful motion pictures and bring them to as wide an audience as possible.

    A cinematographer or director of photography, is the individual in charge of the camera and lighting crews on a movie.
  2. EDITING
    Responsible for manipulate and edit film pieces in a way that is invisible to the audience. Also assembling recorded raw material into a finished product .
  3. LOCATION SCOUTING
    We help to Scouting locations for your next production? As a filmmaker, you're constantly on the hunt for that perfect film location.

Synopsis

A backpacker’s journey from Buenos Aires (Arg) to Medellin (Col),crossing seven countries over two months. Travelling through South America’s amazing landscapes searching for its cultural roots, but that in fact encountering so much more... A route that becomes also about the people you meet on the way.
A documentary immersed in the backpacker culture. It tries to capture a little bit of the spirit that is so special to those living within a community that may come from far and different places, but shares the same will of travel and discovery. Each inspired by something different, but without a doubt, a journey forgotten by none.
A movie for backpackers to remember the travelling days and for others to join this global, growing phenomenon, and to realize that: "you just need to take the first step!"

TIME TRAVEL

Synopsis

Wong Kei, a 25 year-old young man, has given up a stable job in order to pursue his dream with his camera, spending all his time to capture the precious city life. One day, he strolls around in a fish market, where he occasionally meets a fisherwoman. But it wasn’t until later he sees her again in the TV screen talking about her way of living that he feels truly inspired by her lifestyle. Determined to look for her, he begins a journey in which he will meet many old neighbourhoods in Macau and learn from them the past and present of the fisherman industry, their everyday lives, and how the fisherman culture have contributed to the present Macau. Dedicated to explore this declining culture in this small city, “Time Travel” literally takes us on a trip in which we may understand the social significance of these common people that we might never have noticed before.

INTO THE VOID

Synopsis

In the mist of incense smoke and firecrackers lay rituals that have been forgotten in modern Macao. These are people who have learned the arts of the occult and are only sought out when conventional medicine or practices don't work. They live among us, hidden in a city underneath clouds of incense fume and firecracker smoke, lost in time, slowly going closer...."Into The Void".
